Goodbye Bruiser

Last night we said goodbye to our sweet Bruiser. We were able to say goodbye to him in our home, with him comfortable on his favorite spot; the couch. It was devastating to say goodbye, but I was also relieved that his fight is now over. I hope he finds peace and comfort in doggy heaven.

I like the part from the Rainbow Bridge poem that says “The old and frail are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again”. I like to think Bruiser’s body is now healthy and he has four legs to carry him around as he runs and chases the ball.

I already miss him like crazy.

Please keep Bruiser in your thoughts and prayers.

  1. Bless your for being such good people for Bruiser, and thank you for sharing his triumphant story. He was a true hero, and his spirit shall live on here to help others going down the same road.

    Peace.

  2. I’m so sorry Bruiser’s journey here is over. I know his last weeks have been difficult and he seemed ready to cross the bridge to peace and health and wholeness. He loved you are fiercely as you loved him. He will wait for you, and he will find ways to let you know he is watching over you. Many of us know our angel dogs just passed through a room, or went around a corner, or whispered a soft wuff in our ear. He’s there.
